Festival 2009

A crowd, estimated at over 4000, descended on the sleepy country village of Raglan as the village's three day Festival got underway. Some of this years many highlights included Nicky Campbell on Friday night, the children's workshops on the Saturday morning, The Three Tenors at St Cadocs in the evening, Tredegar Orpheus Male Voice Choir at Raglan Castle and my, my how could we forget Abba Gold as our grand finale?

Over forty scheduled performances plus countless informal jam sessions led to this years festival being the biggest and most successful yet.

Watch Nicky Campbell talk about his ground breaking performance in Raglan.

The festival takes place at multiple venues throughout the village climaxing each evening with star-studded performances in the function room of the Beaufort Hotel. Tickets for these evening events will be on sale from mid march. Most other events over the weekend are free of charge. For latest details click on "schedule" at the top of this page.
